We get bombarded with noise from every possible quarter in our lives.  We have television, radio, the internet.  We have work, industrial noise, traffic, housework.  And we have people.

And the problem with people is that they think that they have to be making noise in order to feel comfortable.  While that in itself isn't really a problem all the time, the problem is the type of noise they make.  Most often it's "well-intentioned" noise, but the truth behind "well-intentioned" noise, or the "well-intentioned" words that are spoken is actually far more sinister.  The real problem about this issue, though, is that the vast majority of people are not even consciously aware that they're doing it.

Let's say for example, that you're in the position where your resouces are limited by your current circumstances and you want to get a particular qualification.  According to your current circumstances, the only way you're going to get it is either by changing your current circumstances the old-fashioned way (often a time-consuming and expensive process) or you've found a way to do it online and get certified in a timely and inexpensive manner.  Which way do you go?

I, and many people I know, would go online.  Mainly because it's time and cost effective.  But there's another really good reason to consider options like this.  One is that there are an awful lot of credible, and creditable educators delivering their courses in this way, which includes some of the best universities in the world.  Another reason is that with the way our human consciousness is evolving, there are many healing modalities that aren't regulated, or more accurately, they're only regulated by a bunch of people that have got together, ostensibly to keep the good reputation of that modality, but end up being the New Age equivalent of the Spanish Inquisition (now known by its more moder title of the Office of the Holy See).

And this is where the problem of who do you listen to arises.

Because what often happens is that your qualification is then dismissed, and usually by someone who doesn't really know what they're talking about.  The people doing this usually fall into one of two categories.

The first is that they have no knowledge or experience of what you do or what your qualification is about.  In other words, they lack credibility entirely.

The second category is far more dangerous.  You see, these people have a qualification in exactly the same thing as you do, and they might even have all the "gucci" equipment that this profession calls for.  And it never gets used.  In other words, their certification is for decoration and ego stroking purposes.  They don't have the runs on the board.

So let me ask you again.  Who are you listening to?
